Careers at EduCom IT

Work with us. Build an IT career close to home.

EduCom IT is an Apple Authorised IT services team with shopfronts in Albury, Batemans Bay, Canberra, Coffs Harbour and Smeaton Grange. We look after businesses, schools and the people who walk through our doors — and we're always keen to hear from driven people who want to do that work well.

Who we are

We're a regional Australian IT company that does the hands-on work: rolling out a school's iPads before term starts, moving a small business onto Microsoft 365 safely, fixing the cracked iPhone someone brings in on their lunch break. One team, five locations, and a habit of explaining the why before the how.

What we do

The work you'd be part of.

Apple Authorised Reseller and Apple Authorised Service Provider, with Microsoft, Jamf, Mosyle and more alongside.
What it's like here

A regional team doing work that matters locally.

Most of our clients are businesses and schools in the towns we live in. That shapes how we work: we pick up the phone, we turn up, and we fix things properly so they stay fixed.

See the kind of projects we take on in our case studies.

Plain English, always

We explain the why before the how — to clients and to each other. If you can make a tricky thing simple, you'll fit right in.

One connected team

Helpdesk, security, devices, web and repairs sit under one roof, so you see how the pieces fit together and get to work across them.

Real shopfronts, real people

Our locations are staffed counters in regional towns. The people we help are local businesses, nearby schools and our own neighbours.

Partners worth learning from

Apple, Microsoft, Jamf, Mosyle, Adobe, Acronis and Keeper are part of the everyday work, so there's always something new to get good at.

Who we're looking for

Driven people who like solving problems for other people.

  • You're curious about how things work, and you keep learning without being told to.
  • You can explain technology to someone who isn't technical — without making them feel small.
  • You take ownership. If you said you'd follow up, you follow up.
  • You stay calm with a frustrated customer and careful with someone else's data.
  • You'd rather fix the cause than patch the symptom.

You don't need every certification going. Attitude, reliability and a genuine interest in the work count for a lot.

Open roles

Nothing advertised right now.

That doesn't mean we're not interested. Good people are hard to find, so we keep a list of people we'd love to work with and look there first when a role opens. Register your interest below and you'll be on it.

How it works

From registering to your first day.

  1. 01

    Register your interest

It takes about five minutes. Tell us about yourself and the work you're after, and attach your résumé if you have one handy.

  2. 02

    We keep you on file

Your details stay with our team — not a mailing list — for up to 12 months, and you can ask us to remove them at any time.

  3. 03

We call when there's a fit

When a role opens that suits your skills and location, the people already on our list are the first we look at.

  4. 04

    Come and meet us

A conversation, usually at the location you'd work from, so you can see what the job really involves before anyone decides anything.

Questions

Before you apply.

Should I apply if there's no role advertised?

Yes. Most of our roles are filled by people we already know about, so registering your interest now is the best way to be considered when something comes up.

I'm early in my career. Is it worth applying?

Absolutely. We're keen to hear from people starting out, people moving into IT from another field, and anyone who has been tinkering with tech on their own. Tell us what you've done and what you want to learn.

Which location would I work from?

Our shopfronts are in Albury, Batemans Bay, Canberra (Griffith), Coffs Harbour and Smeaton Grange in South-West Sydney. Many roles also involve on-site visits to clients nearby.

Can I work remotely?

Most of our work is hands-on, at our locations or on-site with clients. Some work — virtual assistance and web development, for example — can be done remotely. Tick “Remote” on the form if that's what you're after.

What happens to my details?

They're only seen by our team and only used to consider you for roles at EduCom IT. We keep them for up to 12 months, and you can ask us to delete them at any time by emailing info@educomit.com.au.
