Return Policy
EduCom IT refers to EduCom IT Pty Ltd and affiliated entities; including Coffs Computers and Clyde Computers
EduCom IT’s return policy complies with the rights and entitlements outlined by the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian consumer law. The contractual rights that you may be entitled to under a products Manufacturers Warranty such as; Apple Limited Warranty, or additional warranty purchased such as; Extended Warranty from EduCom IT or AppleCare+ are in addition to these statutory rights.
The Australian Consumer Law (contained in a schedule to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) creates a basic set of guarantees for consumers who acquire goods and services from Australian suppliers, importers or manufacturers. These are intended to ensure that you receive the goods or services that you have paid for. When you have a problem and one of the guarantees has not been met, you are entitled to a remedy.
The type of remedy depends on the circumstances but may include a repair, replacement, refund or having the service performed again.
You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
General
At EduCom IT we always strive to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are unhappy or believe a major or minor fault has occurred please discuss it with the team immediately so we can rectify it for you a quickly as possible.
EduCom IT will require Proof of purchase will be required in order to receive a refund, replacement or repair.
You may not be entitled to a remedy under the following conditions;
- Simply change your mind, decide you do not like your purchase or have no use for it
- Damage or use goods in an unreasonable or unintended manner
- Discover you can buy the goods or services more cheaply elsewhere (unless the seller guarantees that the goods cannot be purchased more cheaply elsewhere)
- Examined the goods before buying and ought to have seen any obvious fault
- Had a defect drawn to your attention before buying (such as goods labelled as seconds with their faults clearly marked)
- Are unhappy with a service that you insisted on having carried out in a particular way
- Did not make clear what service you wanted and what you wanted it to achieve
- Did not rely upon, or unreasonably relied upon, the seller’s skill or judgment when choosing a product or service.
- You are not entitled to claim against a seller where the failure to meet a consumer guarantee is due to: something someone else said or did, unless it was their agent or employee
- An event that was beyond the seller’s control (for example bad weather or delays in delivery).
Change of Mind
For circumstances where Change of Mind has occurred, a remedy may be available. In these circumstances a Restocking fee may also apply to cover administration fee’s, shipping from the distributor etc or due to condition of the product that my effect resale value
For circumstances where Change of Mind has occurred a remedy will not be offered under the following;
- Proof of purchase can not be provided
- The products can not be resold for hygiene reasons e.g. Air Pods as they are used in ear.
- Damage or use goods in an unreasonable or unintended manner
Faults and Failures
In the case where a minor fault or failure has occurred, please get in contact with the team at your nearest location to discuss what options are available.

Apple Authorised Service Providers
As all our locations are Apple Authorised Service Locations, in the circumstances where a fault has occurred with an Apple Product and a Repair is offered as a remedy, EduCom IT will act as the Authorised Repairer for this.
